Thanks for considering attending the Bowel Cancer Boogie.
On the 4th of July 2023, at the age of 38, I heard the words “you have bowel cancer.” The cancer which I thought was for older people. However, Bowel cancer is Australia’s deadliest cancer for people aged between 25-44.
Scans, surgery, and 12 gruelling rounds of chemotherapy followed my diagnosis. To get through, I went into survival mode and my husband and our 3 young children were my strength. But it was also the support of our extended family and friends that we valued so much. Thanks to these rich connections our life was made easier during a very difficult time.
So the Bowel Cancer Boogie is here to:
1. Raise money to help Bowel Cancer Australia research and help those affected by Bowel Cancer
2. Bring awareness to Bowel Cancer
3. Connect with your mates – to have a laugh, a boogie and continue to develop connections, because we believe they can help save your life.
